Clinic
Our shot clinics are held on the first Sunday of the month. Please check our calendar for specific details.
Our shot clinics are walk-in, no appointment required. They run from 1pm-3pm. However, during summer months – July, August and September – they run from 11am to 1pm.
More than 23,000 animals have been altered at our clinic, and countless animals have received vaccinations. We are proud of the work we’ve done and hope to continue offering this valuable service to the community. Your donations will help!

Free Spay/Neuter. An appointment is required. We alter the pets of qualified county residents for FREE. You may qualify if you are receiving public assistance, subsisting on low income, or reside in one of the county’s designated ERC neighborhoods (formerly called TNI neighborhoods). If you think you qualify, complete our online form. Alternatively, you may call 301-262-5625, extension 9. In either case, a volunteer will call you back to confirm availability. You do not have an appointment until you hear from us. Please be aware, we have a huge backlog due to having been closed for several months. The wait for appointments may be as long as two months.
If you do not qualify for free spay/neuter services, you may request a paid appointment. The fees are $70 to spay or neuter a cat and $150 to spay or neuter a dog. (There is an additional $50 fee if your dog is over 100 pounds.) If your pet has not had a rabies shot, we will administer one for $15. You may request a paid appointment on our online form, by answering the qualifying questions and choosing Next.
If you cannot wait for an appointment with us, you may contact one of these affordable spay/neuter providers:
